Mahla joined Bell Temple as an associate after articling with the firm. Her practice covers a broad range of litigation matters, including motor vehicle accident defence, occupiers’ liability, property damage claims, medical malpractice, employment disputes, and general commercial litigation. Mahla regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Small Claims Court.
Mahla obtained an Honours Bilingual Bachelor of Arts from York University, graduating summa cum laude, and completed her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University, Faculty of Law in 2024. During law school, Mahla’s pro bono work focused on advancing the rights of self-represented defendants in criminal proceedings. She also gained valuable experience at Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic, where she represented clients in various matters, including civil and criminal litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, and human rights claims. During her time at Queen’s Law, Mahla was actively involved in the student community, serving as Co-Chair of the Med-Law Games Committee and Vice-President of the Litigation Society.
Mahla was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
