Anders’ practice encompasses a wide range of civil litigation matters including tort motor vehicle defence, occupiers’ liability, construction claims, property damage claims and general commercial litigation matters. Prior to working at Bell Temple, Anders worked for a well-known criminal law boutique in Toronto where he gained experience appearing before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. During his time with that firm, he represented clients on serious charges, as well as Provincial Offences Act matters. Prior to his work in criminal law, Anders summered and articled at a national full-service firm in Toronto, where he gained experience in civil litigation working on many complex and high-stakes matters.
Anders was called to the bar in 2021. Anders received his Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa in 2020, a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) from Simon Fraser University in 2015, and a Diploma in Criminal and Social Justice (with Distinction) from Okanagan College in 2013. While at the University of Ottawa, Anders was recognized for receiving the highest mark in his first year “Contracts” class, as well as for winning Best Factum in the Nelligan O’Brien Payne moot court competition.
