Cristobal J. Leal articled at Bell Temple and returned to the firm as an Associate following his call to the Ontario Bar in June 2026.
Cristobal’s practice focuses primarily on motor vehicle accident litigation, including subrogation claims, accident benefits disputes, and personal injury matters. He has also assisted clients and counsel in a broad range of legal matters, including construction law, contract disputes, and employment law.
Cristobal is actively involved in all stages of the litigation process, from the initial assessment of claims through to resolution. His experience includes conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motion materials, attending court appearances, and preparing matters for examinations for discovery, mediations, hearings, and trial. He has appeared before judges and associate judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Known for his analytical mindset and practical approach, Cristobal brings careful attention to detail and strategic thinking to every file. He works closely with clients to develop effective litigation strategies tailored to their objectives while providing practical, solution-oriented advice. His passion for litigation is driven by the challenge of analyzing complex legal issues and crafting persuasive legal arguments that advance his clients’ interests.
Cristobal earned his Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law in 2025 and was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2026.
Outside of his legal practice, Cristobal is committed to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. An avid runner, he completed the Toronto Marathon and is currently training for his next endurance challenge, a triathlon.
