Ryan Coughlin joined Bell Temple in 2008 and became a Partner in 2014. Prior to Bell Temple, he worked at large firms in Alberta and Ontario. Ryan received his B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1998 and his LL.B. from Dalhousie Law School in 2001.
Ryan represents owners, contractors, subcontractors, consultants and material suppliers in construction disputes related to all types of commercial and residential construction projects. He also acts for companies, shareholders, partnerships and individuals involved in shareholder and partnership disputes and oppression claims. In addition, Ryan has a background in property-related insurance losses, acting for both defendants and plaintiffs in subrogation claims.
Ryan has extensive experience in the courtroom. He has acted as lead counsel in matters before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Superior Court of Justice (jury and non-jury trials), and in private arbitrations.
